Prep School Vibes?

While I never had to wear school uniforms back in the day, this reminds me of when my style was a bit preppier than it is now. My style is still very clean cut because of love for military-style outerwear but it's definitely more softened.

On this particular day, I wandered the affluent neighborhood of Georgetown. While Georgetown is moreso associated with its shopping district, I love how charming the neighborhood is further away from the shops. It's beautiful and typically pretty quiet. Georgetown was once a flourishing black neighborhood that was made up of descendants of slaves. Similarly to what is happening in D.C. at this very moment, the black population was pushed out to make way for wealthy white Americans. As beautiful as the neighborhood is to me, it's also a chilling reminder to protect this city that I've always called home. We all have a responsibility to not let history repeat itself.

BTW, shoutout to the lovely woman in Georgetown who let us photograph her adorable pup with locs! He was the cutest! :)
